"(...) and giving the great bell to Quasimodo was like giving Juliet to Romeo."

- Fragment from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" by Victor Hugo.
The art's very stylized, but good. The few anatomy problems have mostly been covered up by the anime-styled cell shading. The use of bright colors and patterns give a lot of life to the piece, and the characters look very much like themselves. The thing to be careful not to fall into the trap of-- is that since you did choose to do full shading along with a photo background to give them a 3-dimensional appearance, the flat pattern in the clothing look out of place. Something 2D in an otherwise 3D world. If you cannot alter the pattern to shape with the dimension, a texture might have worked better to achieve some not flat-colored without looking out of place in the image.

Your's is probably the most visually appealing in the contest. :D You probably ought to keep in mind though, that technically you did not fufill the contest entry requirements.
"Take your favorite Princess Tutu character(s) out of the PTT universe and stick them in the year 2008. As though they've always lived in this modern day world. All entries are required to use an odd number of characters: 1, 3, 5... 15. Entries can be either fanart or fanfic, but art entries must include a minimum 5 sentence description of the character's modern life. Romance isn't the main focus this time, their lives are. Get creative!

*CoppeliaD and myself were both on travel or working overtime through most of this contest, so *Asatira has had to run the show without us for the last couple of weeks. I wish I had had a moment to get you to fix that before the deadline. As an admin, I can't throw my vote in for an incomplete entry.

It also disappoints me a bit. While I see the girls in modern clothing, I know nothing about them. No ages, activities, where they are or what they're doing. It's a pretty image, with a big question mark. :(
Although based on how ah-hem "developed" the girls are, along with the clothing choices, I suppose they're at least college age or older.

Please understand, my harshness is just because you asked for an Advanced Critique.

That's cute ^w^ I think the strong colors really ring out the happiness and er... bubblyness of the pic 8D
Although the background looks like one of those cardboard backgrounds you stand in front of, or in those photo booths. It's cute, it kinda reminds me of a postcard 8D

No I'm glad that your harsh, I get compliments a lot but I know my work isn't 100% awesome and I have stuff to work on but I can't see it myself so I need some one to point it out to me (Hence the Advanced Critique.) I'm sorry I didn't follow the rules completely, I have this problem with not reading ALL the instructions (this has given me incomplete grades on school assignments before). I'll try to work on anatomy and find some other way to do backrounds. thank you very much for the critique and letting me still be apart of the contest.

It's not that it's always your fault, it's just that it's never mine.
I got a guy to like Princess Tutu
Oh good. I re-read it after posting it (and forgetting I'd logged into the club account) and realized my intended tone was not well carried out.

To be a little more specific on the anatomy:
The trick with stylized images is telling what is actual anatomy issues versus intentional styling. It can be very muc a matte of what the artist's intent is. The arms seem to be a tiny bit too thin for the bodies, and lack shaping, they're basically just straight lines. Necks are certainly too small based on the shoulders and heads, but that's a common stly-istic element in anime-type pictures. I think perhaps the eyes need to be made a little smaller, there's no space between them for the bridge of the noses.
As I said before, your color choices and shading is wonderful. The only thing hurting it's effectiveness is the 2D patterns.

It's fine about the instructions. Just be a little more careful in the future. Honestly, I'm just glad you took the time to enter. The severe participation drop has myself and the other admins a bit concerned as to the reason. We expected a bit of a drop, but this much...

What a happy picture.
I think the background suits the subject very well.
Nice bright colours too and good sharp detail.
Best of luck!
